Dinner's on us

Yesterday early in the morning I went for tuition with Weihui and then we sat the bus to Pasir Ris Interchange to meet my mother and Aunt Grace. As my mother was still on her way, we went to White Sands and we saw Aunt Grace there. I returned my long due book and we waited at the food court for my mother. Had lunch and took a bus to Loyang Point to look at the tuition centre 'JustEducation'. Sepia photographs for old people, heehee.

(Oh my gawd, is this going to be what me and Weihui would look like when we're old!?)
In the end we decided not to take up tuition there 'cause the syllabus is slightly different and we prefer one to one.
So, we went to the supermarket downstairs and bought some ingredients for dinner plus baking of cookies. Yeah, some ingredients 'cause the supermarket was so damn stinky and squeezy that we couldn't stay another minute to get our turnip and butter. The adults were having their cups of coffee at a cafe so we had to pay first. We went to the cafe to look for them and had oreo cheesecake!

The standard of the cake was bad though, unlike the heavenly one at Starbucks. (But we still finished it, lol.)

Chatted a while and took a cab to another supermarket to shop for the rest of the ingredients. Oh, the cabby was trying to guess who was the elder one between my mother and Aunt Grace. He said my mother looked older. And I was thinking, 'you're the oldest, la'. My mother is the youngest among all the sisters in her family anyway. Me and Weihui went home first, we couldn't wait.

Uh, it's so hard to blog. We were doing three things at one time, cookies, muffins, and popiah.

Weihui took out all the stuff we needed for cooking dinner.

Athlete's shoe rack.

Sift the flour.

Weigh the sugar.

Crack the eggs.

Whip them till they're frothy.

And we found this machine which made my effort go to waste.

Flour + butter + eggs + vanilla essence + Weihui's effort.

Sweet lil' cookies toppedwith M&M chocolates!

We made 2 big cookies. One for each of us, selfish. They're so colourful, I love them so much!

Flour and sugar for the muffin.

Meiji milk! Eh, I drank most of the leftover.

We were supposed to add 'melted' butter so Weihui heated it and got this. Threw it away in the end, too disgusting to satisfy our visuals.

Hazard #1.

This is the meaning of frothy.

Decided to put the butter on top if the oven to melt it instead.

Skin the carrot.

Chop the turnip.

Shred the carrot.

Weigh the turnip, (for what?).

Melted butter.

Butter + milk + egg.

Hazard #2.

Pretty eggs.

Hazard #3. Chill, Weihui.

Mixture for the muffin.

Big cookie, it's so cute. And the M&Ms cracked, they look like Furby's mouth.

Mixture for the muffin.

Shred the turnip.

Muffins.

Ingredients for the popiah.

Dinner.

Cure lil' popiah. It tasted really nice!

Aftermath.

Gone?

No.

Muffins were yuck. Our muffins always fail, and we never fail to waste ingredients on stupid muffins. They deserve to be eaten by shoes instead.

Some muffins were burnt and Aunt Grace said, 'How come some muffins are chocolate-flavoured?', lol. They were as hard as stones and if one was to be thrown at anyone... casualty.

Flew in from the window, fat ass roach.

Mighty Weihui, tricks the eye.

Weihui sprayed Baygone at it. Uncle William finished the job.
Buy Baygone, it's so effective.

Bathed at Weihui's place. She gave me a (new) panty and lent me a shirt. I was so tired after the day, Weijing and Aunt Grace drove me and my mother home. Thanks!
Anyway, that night's dinner costed only 20 bucks! It felt really good to cook and wash everything yourself. The food was exceptionally good. We spent about 3 to 4 hours in the kitchen, how cool.
